Six New International Cooperation Programmes Have Been Successfully Initiated by The Bachelor of Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Programme

The Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology regarding World Class Professor (WCP) activities, held a visiting professor programme. One of the study programmes that invite overseas professors to give lectures is the Bachelor of Physical Education, Health and Recreation (BPEHR) study programme of the Faculty of Sports Science in partnership with the University of Malaya and the University of Putra Malaysia. Dr. Yuhanis Binti Adnan and Prof. Soh Kim Geok, Ph.D., from Malaysia had the opportunity to lecture for 8 times in the Physical Education and Health and Recreation study programme with a companion lecturer, Dr. Jaka Sunardi, M.Kes. Mr. Dr. Jaka Sunardi, M.Kes, who is the head of the Sports Education department and also the coordinator of the BPEHR study programme, said that Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta carries out an assignment programme for Visiting Professor Inbond which accepts overseas professors to give lectures. One of the materials presented by Dr. Yuhanis Binti Adnan and Prof. Soh Kim Geok, Ph.D is "Obsesity in Worldwide and Physical Fitness" said Jaka Sunardi, Monday (7/6) at UNY. He further explained, this course is an excellent course because it aims to provide additional skills and competencies for Physical Education, Health and Recreation students with main competencies as sports teachers. Additional competencies are Fitness and Sports Health experts. These courses are also very favorite chosen by students from the University of Malaya and the University of Putra Malaysia. Now the collaboration between UNY, the University of Malaya, and Putra Malaysia University has entered its second year through the IA which was signed by the Head of the Department of Sports Education.
